SiteLock: Prevent Plus/911 Post-Close Steps
After adding SiteLock Prevent Plus or 911 to your account, here are some key points that you need to keep in mind:
Product Autoconfiguration
- The system will autoconfigure both the Scanner and CDN/WAF.
NOTE: You will not be able to visually see the scanner running (much like is possible with a
computer scan.
- The contents of your scan can be found in the Dashlets of your SiteLock Dashboard.
- While running, the SMART Scan may read as Pending until completed.
- The TrueShield dashlet may read as Pending until completion of setup.
- Due to SSL verification, the TrueShield dashlet may read as Pending for up to 72 hrs.
Assignment of a SiteLock Analyst
- To ensure that all the steps in resolving your clean are complete, SiteLock will provide you with a dedicated SiteLock Analyst as a free bonus for getting the SiteLock Prevent Plus or 911.
- This step should be handled by the representative who helped set up the Prevent Plus or 911 plan for you.
Email communication
Know the differences between a system-generated and SiteLock Analyst update emails:- The SiteLock Dashboard sends automated emails like SMART Scanner alerts. SMART is involved with the process of cleaning your site. You should be able to recognize these since they have limited information.
- Analyst Communications provides more detailed information on the clean request. This includes the action items taken and any additional action needed.
What to do if your account is suspended:
- After completing a clean, your dedicated SiteLock Analyst will notify you that your website was submitted to Netfirms for review.
- The turnaround time for tickets submitted to Netfirms can take up to 48 hours.
- SiteLock prioritizes suspension review requests to expedite this process,
- To further expedite the process, call Netfirms once you have received the clean completion email from SiteLock support.
What to do if your website is blacklisted:
- Call Netfirms and request to lift any potential suspension of your account. SiteLock support would not be able to assist you if your account is suspended.
- Once lifted, contact SiteLock support to recheck your site.
- SiteLock will submit their review to the organizations that blacklisted your website so they can remove you from their list.
- Each organization that has blacklisted your website has its own turnaround time for review. In some cases can take up to a few weeks.
CMS updates
- If you are using CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc. Regularly check for updates at least a few times a week.
- Delete any unwanted plugins or themes.
